1 Title
This order is the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (Animal Feed) Order 2006.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Animal feed declared to be agricultural compound
(1) For the purposes of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, animal feed is declared to be an agricultural compound.
(2) In this clause,—
animal feed means any substance or preparation manufactured or prepared in whole or in part from 1 or more than 1 kind of grain, seed, plant, oil, juice, meat, fish, or other source of nutrient of any kind and used, or intended to be used, as food for stock, pets, or other animals; and includes any animal feed additive
animal feed additive means a non-nutrient substance added to animal feed to improve the preservation, digestion, colour, palatability, texture, or nutritive value of the animal feed.
